Case study film exploring University of Bristol’s research into Quantum Internet.

University of Bristol’s Smart Internet Lab asked if we could capture their cutting edge research and development into Quantum internet. Usually clients are impressed with the amount of equipment we bring to shoots. This time, it was the other way around – the labs are incredible!

Working with the communications team, we decided to create a part live-action, part animated film to visually bring to life some quite complicated ideas.

The result was a film which breaks down a complex subject matter into a digestible format and showcases the important work being done and those who are doing it.

Meet Phil. You might find him in funny shoes, wearing a hard hat or sporting silky lycra. Phil is what we affectionately call in the industry, a ‘bike guy’. Phil cut his teeth making films for the bicycle industry, he’s forgotten more about filming 2 wheels than most of us will ever know.

Phil brings a wealth of agency experience as a producer, camera and editor.

Alex Duncan

Filmmaker

Alex is fresh-faced from the Big Smoke. In the end, Bristol’s laid-back, coffee-sipping and cider-guzzling culture proved too much of a draw (it gets them all).
Like a clock, his last job involved a lot of Tik-Tok but he’s also a master with a good story.
Multi-talented, you’ll find him out on shoots and in the studio editing.

Adam Gasson

Adam’s our partner photographer extraordinaire. He works in editorial and commercial.

He’s a ninja on shoots, there’s not a loose flash or stray lens hood anywhere to be found.

He works seamlessly in the background with the video team until it’s his turn to step up and then captures beautiful images.
