Conserving steel-framed windows
Detailed case study about conserving steel framed windows.
Historic England is passionate about conserving history and they wanted us to create a film to educate on how to restore steel-framed windows in order to conserve their historical significance.
Stow Maries, a WW1 military aviation museum in Essex was chosen as the case study site, as it had over one hundred windows which would need eventually restoring.
We followed two windows on their journey to restoration, a process which stretched over a long period of time with multiple shoots. We needed to establish clear filming principles so that we could ensure consistency throughout the process and create a seamless film.
