Surfer's Against Sewage
COP 26 poem
COP26 petition film to ensure the ocean is at the centre of climate talks.
What do we want? Ocean action! When do we want it? NOW.
Surfers Against Sewage asked us to help them create a film featuring the voice of the youth, petitioning the UK government to ensure the ocean is at the centre of the climate talks during COP26. As surfers and outdoorsy folk ourselves, this was a project particularly close to our hearts so we couldn’t want to get started.
We commissioned Bristol poet, Saili Katebe, to produce a powerful spoken-word piece and then partnered with local schools to perform the poem.
Almost 70,000 signed the petition which was hand-delivered to Downing Street by Olympic Gold Medalist and ocean activist Hanna Mills. We felt honoured to be part of this project.
